Very disappointing. I also use a Braun razor. This product improved glide slightly. It did not improve shave closeness at all, even with repeated passes. And the smell is quite unpleasant. Conclusion: incredibly overpriced and ineffective. I can get equal benefit by simply applying a thin layer of aloe vera before shaving. That costs less than a penny an application and is beneficial to the skin. For me, this was a complete waste of money.

I bought three different electric pre-shave lotions for my husband to try in an effort to help him get a closer shave and to reduce the amount of redness and bumpiness that seems to result after every shave. He tried Afta, Anthony Logistics, and this stuff. Without telling him what they cost, he zeroed in immediately on the Billy Jealousy and said that it was his favorite and he felt that he got the closest shave with it. I have to agree as his face feels incredibly soft (as soft as our daughter's bottom to use the colloquialism) after each shave. It's also dramatically reduced the amount of bumpiness or redness that would occur after shaving versus not using any product at all. Now if only they figured out a way that he wouldn't get a five o'clock shadow....

I tried Lightning Bolt and find it to be God's gift to electric shaving. Maybe it depends on your skin type or razor type (I have a Braun), but this stuff is incredible. My shave was uniform, smooth, closer than ever and without the usual electric shave friction! Combine this with the Billy Jealousy iced after shave and it is a spectacular start to the day.

The description of this product sounded promising but it does not work as advertised. I applied it and have allowed various amounts of time for it to dry. It always makes my razor grab/tug on the skin instead of gliding like it is supposed to. I have used other products that have allowed my razor to glide but was looking for something without alcohol. IMHO this product is over priced and doesn't work as advertised.
