Like it but it irritates my eyes and flakes November 23, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I had high hopes for this, but it turns out to be equal to many drugstore brands that I have tried. L'oreal Voluminous, in my opinion, is very similar to this product. I didn't like the overall feel of the mascara. It seemed heavy and tiny particles went into my eyes. I won't purchase this one again.
Overpriced - $5 mascaras do just as well as this one November 16, 2008 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
So far, I believe I have tried most mascaras out there and the best results I've had were based on what girls at the high-end make-up counter shared: Clinique lash builder base with Lancome mascara over it. I truly did get great results from that combo but was hoping when I tried this I could get the same results in one product. Overpriced because of the name - like other reviewers posted, this product offers nothing more than the stuff you could find at Walmart for <$5.
THE BEST MASCARA ON THE MARKET November 16, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
The mascara looks like the professional finishes you see in Magazines. This mascara makes my lashes fuller, thicker and appear longer. This is a must have in every makeup bag, along with Dior Lip Maximizer.
Gorgeous, richly-pigmented mascara November 9, 2008 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
I first tried this a couple months back. The wand is GIGANTIC! One coat does the trick for huge, fat lashes - - and a pleasant surprise - - the result looks like I used a primer, first.
I realize not everyone gets the same results using the same makeup; for instance, I've had none of the flaking issues noted by another reviewer.
And while I'll agree Maybelline, Loreal, Revlon, and other great drugstore products (some of which are made by the same companies as the dept. store brands) are darn good at filling the bill without hurting the pocketbook, I have never had the kind of results from their mascara formulas as from my prior ol' standby, Lancome Definicils.
The big difference is the level of pigmentation. That's why a lot of my makeup hails from Rite Aid & Target, but I shell out for high-end mascara.
Dior Show's lush, rich mascara transforms my lashes. That's worth 4 tubes of Great Lash any day!
One-star off because, as another reviewer noted, it does tend to get thick in the tube and may clutter up the wand a bit. But, it hasn't caused me enough problems to regret my purchase in the slightest.
It's OK November 5, 2008 1 out of 2 found this review helpful
I got a sample of this mascara in black, and was disappointed. It looks OK on, but I just was not impressed. For a product that retails at $24 I expected better. It doesn't irritate my eyes or anything, but after a few hours I find that I get little mascara flakes under my eyes (not good!). The coverage is OK, but that's about all I can say. For $24 I could ride out half a year or more with just about anything by L'Oreal (which has never disappointed me in more than a decade) or go a whole year with Maybelline Great Lash -- another great one that lasts and gives good lash.
